
Over the past few weeks, the Gatineau Valley RCM has delivered single-use mask pickup boxes to all three secondary schools across the territory, St. Michael’s High School being one of them. The project’s initiative is to divert disposable masks from landfill that are distributed to students and teachers in schools as part of the fight to the spread of COVID-19. Environmental sensitive, elected officials of the MRC Vallée-de-la-Gatineau have mandated the Environment and Environmental Hygiene Department to find a responsible solution to the valuation of approximately 30 masks at single use used per week in all three high schools.
